In just over eight years, a sorry looking, unloved, three acre disused allotment site, subject to continual fly tipping, has been transformed as a result of the collective enterprise of the local community into a blooming blue meadow of lavender.

In a corner of Streatham, south London, is an unloved path called Potters Lane.
